Welcome to DaveWeb

Welcome to my small and insignificant contribution to the World Wide Web. My name is Dave and I was born on March 8th 1984. I'm not the worlds best web-page designer (as you can probably tell) but I'll do my best.

I live in Romford, East London (in the UK) I go to Warren Comprehensive School and am currently studying for my GCSE's. But, we don't want to talk about that! Outside of school, I play Hockey for Romford Hockey Club, because I'm under 18, I have to play in the Colts team, which is actually pretty poor - we got relegated this season! Most of my games are played at my school, which is handy, because I only live a stone's throw from it, for other games, we have to meet at the clubhouse - about 5 miles from me - not so handy. It's not too bad though, as I now have transport - a 1980 Suzuki TS50 ER. See my photo page for a picture. This brings me to my other main interest - motorcycling. Ever since I was young (whaddya mean I still am!), I have always wanted a bike, besides the Suzuki, I also have a 1974 Yamaha FS1E - can you tell? I like old bikes. As soon as I'm 17 I'll take my 'proper' bike test and when I turn 18, I'll be able to ride a decent sized bike - 250CC. Until then though, I'm stuck with the '50, which although very nice, does have problems when it comes to moving at more than 35mph on a windy day, or uphill.

My other love is reptiles. I currently have two - a 4 foot Corn Snake and a 3 foot Bosc Monitor Lizard. Again see photo page for pictures. The Corn's name is Flipz - he once tried getting in a water bowl that was too small for him and ended up looking like a pretzel (see, obvious). The Bosc is called Chief, we think Chief is male, but if 'he' turns out to be a 'she', Chief can become Miss-Chief, sad ain't I?? Both my 'herps' (jargon for reptiles) are from the British Reptile and Amphibian Society (BRAS). Click here to see my BRAS page.

OK, what else? I know, music. I'm mostly into indie and rock music - bands like Travis, Manic Street Preachers, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nirvana, Offspring and so on. But I do like some 'pop' music - just not anything from a boy-band or girl-group. See my music page for more details.

Online life - since my ISP (Lineone and Quip) has gone free access, I'm online quite a bit now. Lineone users can usually find me in the chat room #The_FaRmyard, my nickname is KD and if you happen to have AOL Instant Messenger - my screen name is Dave345W.

And that's it really. These pages are still under construction so there will be more to come later. Email me with any suggestions and If I feel like it, I might use them in my page.
